Important Information
CTC structures vary between employers. The calculation shown here is an estimate based on the percentages entered.
This calculator does not include income tax, professional tax, insurance, bonus, variable pay, stock benefits or other deductions unless they are reflected in the entered structure.
Actual salary received may therefore differ from the estimated in-hand amount.
CTC Calculator FAQ
What does CTC mean?
CTC stands for Cost to Company. It represents the total annual cost an employer incurs for an employee, including applicable salary components and employer contributions.
Is CTC the same as in-hand salary?
No. CTC and in-hand salary are different. CTC can include employer contributions and benefits that are not directly paid to the employee as monthly cash salary.
Why is my in-hand salary lower than my CTC?
CTC can include employer PF, gratuity and other benefits. Employee deductions such as PF, professional tax and income tax can also reduce the amount received in-hand.
What is Basic Salary?
Basic salary is a core component of salary and is commonly used as a basis for calculating certain benefits and contributions.
What is HRA?
HRA stands for House Rent Allowance. It is a salary component that may be provided by an employer to eligible employees.
Does this calculator calculate income tax?
No. This CTC calculator provides an estimated salary structure and basic employee deduction. Income tax is not included in the calculation.
Can I change the salary percentages?
Yes. The Basic, HRA, employee PF, employer PF and gratuity percentages can be changed to better match the compensation structure used by your employer.
